Hmm. So it's either Salt Marsh or Polluted Delta restricted to basics. Seems very good; I imagine some control decks would rather have this than Watery Grave. So this should probably be rare.

I wonder what I was thinking when I made this. Hmm. I guess it's a way to escape LD or dump your nonbasic when an opponent casts Blood Moon.

Also a way to trim your deck, when you believe the life payment is less significant than the deck thinning would be.

It's a minor bonus ability for Salt Marsh? I heard those are popular? But, to be honest, I'd rather gain 1 life. I think Alex's initial comment didn't recognize that this was Bad River restricted to basics that you pay 1 life for, not Polluted Delta.
