Upon realizing that he cannot undo the plane of Wel'jed. Nu instead attempts to re-educate the people with Al-Wel'jed with the art of Glyph-making, which was an art lost long ago. By pulling power directly from the Aether and infusing it with words to form Decrees, Glyphs can bypass the media that are the Forces and the spell will come out pure.
But mastering Glyphs and Decree-making is a perilous thing... and one Misinvocation in the spell will spell disaster.
So this is a more complex, and harder to use, version of a modal spell?
I'm unconvinced. It does let you fit on more art ad flavour-text; which is always nice. But I'm not sure it's worth it, in this example.
Very nice flavour though. And a nicely found "Ooops, mistake, but oh, that's still a nice upside" spell, too.
Well, it's different from a modal spell in that whilst all the targets are chosen and whatever in a modal spell, your opponent are basically completely unsure what you'd choose until they let it resolve.
Also you technically casted 2 spells, and you've casted a spell from exile.
I downgraded this from rare to uncommon. It used to be
1WW
[Creatures you control are gains +1/+1 and are indestructible until the end of turn]
[Creatures you control gains +1/+1.]
Also, you can't really have a Instant//Enchantment modal spell
now a bit better I suppose?
