Being serious; this is a VERY good Counterspell variant, strictly better than Cancel and making it common will seriously warp drafts.

I love it. But others will scream loudly.

This is very similar to Stoic Rebuttal, which was also strictly better than Cancel. It didn't really warp anything and I doubt this will either (especially as it's hard to have three Shrines while also having double {u} ).

Cancel is the baseline, but Wizards are happy to be strictly better than it from time to time. Dissipate was recently reprinted on that principle too.
