I still think we should change this to use Industry Counters like we had discussed there for a while.

The way the card works now plays into the land death theme of black. Changing it to industry counters eliminates that interaction and makes the card more complicated.

What colors is the "lands in graveyards matter" theme again? I ask because I would like this as a red ritual, but could see it as black if that's where the theme needs it to be.

The "lands in graveyards" theme is in black, more specifically {u/b}. The Black half of {u/b} deals with sac'ing/destroying lands, while the Blue is alters the mana they produce either by changing thier types or by making them produce only colorless mana.

Fair enough. I am curious about what the blue half does, since changing of types/messing with their mana has nothing to do with lands in the graveyard.

The "lands in graveyards" is more of a side-effect of the {u/b} theme than the theme itself. The Theme for {u/b} is Land Manipulation. The {u} half changes its resources at hand to suit its needs (represented by changing land types and having them produce colorless mana. The {b} half is more focused on the destructive effects of industry and its willingness to sacrifice resources (in this case land) to achieve its goals (colorless mana.) The “Lands in graveyards” subtheme is there to give players an incentive to sacrifice resources in order to profit (win.) The lands in graveyard theme also has good interactions with the Spellslinger theme so it’s there for multiple reasons not just {b/u}.

"Land manipulation" isn't a great theme for limited, but makes sense flavor-wise. It also looks like these colors focus on getting you colorless mana, which IS a good theme for limited. That with the spellslingers in {b/r} makes sense. This card is doing good work.

Sorry if I came off as too questioning. I really apperciate the recap.
