I like this cycle as a twist on two-brid, but it is not common. It's way too weird to be showing up in lots of boosters for lots of new players to read and scratch their heads over.

The thing is that Buckshot feels like a common and that's where this cycle started. The cycle originally was pretty simple, but wording issues with cards not working properly forced us to change them all.

It's possible we should move this to uncommon, but then we have to change them to effects that are powerful enough to be uncommon.

Whether they feel like a common might be a matter of opinion. Personally, I don't think any card that says "where X is 1 plus the amount of spent to cast..." is common. Sure, the power level might feel common, but the complexity doesn't. I'd be afraid of eating up a lot of common complexity on this cycle.

See, there's a difference between reading complex and playing complex. For instance, as MaRo likes to say, Bestow is a mechanic that reads complex but it's super intuitive. Buckshot, while reading complex, is actually pretty simple in execution.
