Joz made the comment that Seasonal Front felt too much like a rare, and I agreed. So I needed a new uncommon entwine green card.

Random Generator gave me Mirrorworks. Truth be told, this is rare material as well, but at least it feels like it could take the space of the Howl of the Night Pack as the big green smash-y uncommon.

Hm. I like the idea, but I feel you normally won't get much from the entwine.

And the template might need tweaking -- I think currently if you entwine, you may get two copies of all non-token creatures, which is cool but not obvious (I assume not intended?)

This is green. Green loves the idea of "And then, next turn, I do it again! TWICE THE SIZE!"

It does seem rare though - a whole bunch of tokens of different things? Ew. Fiddly. Ew.

The problem isn't the effect, for 7GGG you can have as many tokens as you like. The problem is there'll be a big rules argument about whether two entwined modes in the resolution of the same ability happen simultaneously or not :)

Suggestion - give it flashback instead of entwine :)

Entwine resolves in order. So, yes, the intention was to give two copies of every non-token creature. That's the way the card works. I'd worry about people not knowing this... but Mirrodin is full of cards that operate on the premise that you know this information, or you can figure it out (for example, Grab the Reins, Plunge into Darkness and Tooth and Nail). That said, for players who don't make that leap, this looks terrible. I don't think there's an easy way to fix that.

Actually, there is... make it rare. Vitenka is right that, even though I want to believe this card is uncommon, it just isn't. It isn't confusing (entwine issues aside), and it doesn't break limited, but it's just a bit too much for uncommon to handle. I guess I'm back at the drawing board.

2013-08-02 10:21:14: jmgariepy moved the card Filligreed Mirror from Mashup: the Gathering Alpha into Mashup: the Gathering Workbench

At this rate, Mashup: the Gathering Beta is going to end up with a 'rare green entwine' theme. :s

@Jmg Ah, sorry! In which case, yes, it's a much nicer card. But I think most people would guess wrong -- I thought the rules said they would happen successively, but I assumed that was a templating mistake because "one copy of every creature" just looked so natural....
