Sort-of mashup of Spatial Merging and Stand Against the Dark
Spatial Merging is a great "wow, you can do that?" card, but it's a shame I couldn't think of any similar franken-effect. This, "hey, guess what" was the best I could come up with.
It is essentially a reprint of Disharmony, one of the first (?) red-stealing effects. But stealing-to-attack being such a red effect, it seems stealing-to-block might be something else, and the inevitable candidate is white. (It's obviously red as well, such as Act of Aggression).
I don't know how strong it is. Disharmony didn't seem to get a lot of love, but it seems like a conditional two-for-one ought to be quite strong. Then again, Blind with Anger can do both and people seem to think that was nice but not spectacular.
I debated making this RW, but decided that every effect that can be multicolour doesn't have to be.
I felt bad for taking anything OUT of red's colour pie, but since red has the superset ability of "gain control, untap AND haste", I felt it was ok to carve this more-specific exception out as a white ability, while still leaving red the ability to do everything it used to be able to do. I love you red, I will find more bits of the pie to steal for you to go with looting :)
