Is this fair in NWO or still too powerful? Probably needs to be uncommon
Probably needs to be uncommon. It's tough figuring out NWO for a lot of creatures. Each block seems to boost the base power level.
I will admit this, though, that the drawback is a drawback in limited, so it might be okay for common. It isn't really a drawback in constructed... though, that may have changed over the years. Players block now... they didn't block when Jackal Pup first made its rounds. Jackal Pup was unfair for its time because it only hurt in the mirror, which, because it was the mirror, didn't matter for purposes of gauging power. It wasn't like you'd sideboard it out anyway.
My best guess is that this card is good in an environment that supports it, bad in an environment that doesn't, and broken in an environment that exploits it. Whether it's fair or not would probably need to be tested, not hypothesized over. It's at the upper limit of what I'd call 'fair', though.
agreed. Creature power level is a lot harder to gague than it used to be, definately needs testing.
thanks for the input!
