This is a BONKERS common.
It costs
to turn off the ability normally if this doesn't need to eat a removal spell.
Slap Arrest or a similar enchantment on it, and your opponent can't even pay the mana to turn the ability off.
Then, there's the issue that Sign in Blood is now Counsel of the Soratami.
And all for two mana.

Mmmm, this is the kind of card that ends up in a set when they go "Oh, whoops. We kind of didn't spot that the previous set made life gain absolutely dominant and it wrecked the meta. Hose it. Hard. Which then, of course, puts this card into the sideboard."
Though I also kind of want it to be part of a strategy of its own where you give the opponent a lot of life in exchange for getting other stuff cheaper.
