Created for a contest where are card's name had to be a substring of its type line. (Like Urza's Saga.)
Can't decide whether the second ability should also cost
, like Archaeological Dig, or not, like the authentic Gold tokens (Gild). The whole difference between Gold and Treasure tokens is that Gold doesn't require tapping to sacrifice...
It's clearly more powerful this way: it works something like Crystal Vein. In practice I think Wizards wouldn't print this for risk of people mana-screwing themselves. I guess I could add a rider like on Cryptic Caves to let you only cash it in once you've dug deep enough?
I ended up submitting Fractal Fish instead.

Gold isn't actually a subtype, so this wouldn't qualify. It would have to be Treasure Mine
