I literally dreamt this card up: when I woke up this morning my mind was showing the custom card creation form with that entire first ability typed in. (Minus the word "additional" which I later added for clarity.) I actually don't know if the ability works, because it gets fiddly in combination with things like Awaken the Blood Avatar, Flametongue Yearling, or an opponent's Catalyst Stone. The intent is no (not even if you sac 2 creatures), yes X times, and yes (twice if you're flashing back Faithless Looting).
Oh, interesting. Do the rules distinguish between paying
and paying
? I'm not sure they do explicitly, but I think it works. I do suspect the edge cases will be fiddly, just saying "if you pay a generic mana cost of
or more" might be simpler, but fit the concept less well.
I love the name. I was expecting something like, pay half the cost, copy the ability, or... something, but this fits.
