Not really as part of my assembling the gold commons, more just a thought that we might want this. People are going to want to assemble Aer theme decks, and that will need some serious mana-fixing. Something that taps for Dawn's Reflection seems appropriate. Then we have the unfortunate realisation that creatures are the only permanent type that can be gold and can tap! (Assuming we're not doing evil coloured artifacts or even-more-evil tapping enchantments in this set.) So this has to be a flying creature.

Anyway, just a thought; we can throw it in or out as we deem appropriate.

Colored artifacts? Evil? :(

Hmm, one other benefit to putting this on a green creature is that the one iconic green flying creature is Birds of Paradise, and this could feel like a homage to that.

@Link: Hmm... I may have overstated my case somewhat. I did quite enjoy Esper-aligned cards during Alara block, and I thought coloured artifacts were a good choice for a way to represent New Phyrexia's hybrid flesh-and-metal monstrosities. But they're a tool to be used rather sparingly, not thrown in casually.

As for this card: I fear the gold common slots are a bit too limited for this to be a common as is; at least, if we're also having a 2-mana flyer for each allied-colour pair. I'd be happy to either see this go uncommon, or to see this turn into a manafixing instant, something like Manamorphose but a lot more powerful because it requires 2 colours of mana already.

What do people think? Shall we say this is uncommon for the moment, and empty out the common {r}{g} noncreature slot for whatever ends up going in there?
