This isn't enabled by reckless rites.

Best way to get this to work is to have Kilmoren the Hunter or Drezgorian Ancient or Garnaax, Cultist Ringleader out in play, then cast and kick reckless rites on a Desperate Runner and then you can play this card for two modes.

Alternatively, just have a legend and play this for four mana. Say turn after Kilmoren or Garnaax (both cost 3)

Your opponent likely won't be able to destroy them unless they are Marsh Man with Gloom Shot and played first this game... Maybe a {g} player running Baloth Stampede could do it to, though.
