I was looking for a Commander to pair with Zirda, but I wasn't impressed by the options. I guess this doesn't really explore new space for a
Commander like it probably should, though.
Zirda, the Dawnwaker seems like it would work best with an ability that can be activated multiple times, so a legendary Sunhome Guildmage would be a nice option or something like Zacama, Primal Calamity but cheaper.
So many creatures in red-white in general activate for

without a single generic mana.
Zirda does work with cycling/channel though, so a discard/draw synergy would work. The most straightforward would be a red-white artifact commander to play Staff of Domination with.
This should be until end of turn. Maybe even allow it to attach to any creature then.
Ability no longer taps. Tokens are no longer limited to Aizon and are now temporary.
The vexing thing is that Zirda restricts you to Auras that have activated abilities if you want to combine these.
Yeah, that's true.
That said, the ability is really cool, even without Zirda, the Dawnwaker. Just burning the board and faces with Galvanic Arc sounds fun; or attach a handful of Breath of Fury to an evasive token.

Looking back, the mechanics make me think it would blend in on current Kamigawa.
