See One Who Remembers.

Mana dude with pseudo-random mana ability.

So it gets the abilities from the land like mutate? Does that work with Dark Depths to skip the ETB and go Lage immediately?

(I'm very fond of "go Lage" :))

Yes, if this hits Dark Depths, it immediately pops into a 20/20. Unless you stack your deck, that's pretty hard, and already doable in Modern

Yeah, maybe that particular combination isn't a problem, I'm just wondering if we have to be careful what categories of cards can get melded to prevent weird things. I think mutate mostly enabled mutate cards, plus at most one creature already on the battlefield. Fetching cards out of the library means being careful what cards can be cheated onto the battlefield. Lands are safer than creatures because only a few need a mana cost before giving you a powerful effect. But avoiding ETB abilities felt like it might be a problem. Maybe wizards have already avoided printing any lands with ETB drawbacks big enough to be a problem, I wasn't sure.
