It should not be possible to activate an insta-win ultimate by default the turn you drop a planeswalker.
Yeah, different cost and loyalty got mixed up.
I like this overall, but I think the alt wincon is way too easy
I've been tinkering with it since the longest time, but I think it's nearing a balanced state. Propping the number up to 13.
I don't know how much planeswalker removal in this set/format. But if it's quite a bit, then this is probably okay to be easy-enough to get.
However, even if you have enough removal, if you have lots of counter abuse or planeswalker-boosting, then this is definitely going to break.
Honestly, I think the returning artifacts is decently strong. the win condition isn't super easy to get, but it's surely possible. The effects I think are fine, for the ultimate. However, the loyalty is kind of low. This is a huge game-changer to activate, if your opponents can't rid you of it.
There are a lot more factors to it, to see if this is balanced for the format:
Example 1: Do you have lots of card to deal 5 damage? If so, your opponents will be burning them on this
Example 2: Do these artifact decks that play this tezzeret have lots of creatures? If not, do they have ways to have your planeswalkers avoid damage or not be attacked? If not, then your opponents will be attacking this guy instead of you, likely.
All-in-all, I like the design of this card, I think it's fun, and could definitely be balanced, if it isn't already.
Well done. Planeswalkers are hard as hell to design, this guy's well done, I think.
(actually, i just remembered you can activate loyalty abilities as soon as you play a walker... hmmm... I though opponents would get 2 turns to deal with this, not just 1. I'd definitely recommend putting the ultimate up to [-8] instead of [-7])
The wincon might be too easy, i don't know enough about this set's format to know for sure. I don't know if you plan to playtest this card, or if you have yet. If you don't know it's not busted, I'd err on the side of caution.
Again, good walker design.
