add code

I've just realised this isn't as good as I thought, because it'll normally trigger during the draw step, then go away by the time first main happens. I reckon we want every Enlighten trigger to be normally at least vaguely useful with the automatic draw during the draw step, and giving {1} definitely fails that. Do we want to use Sakura-Tribe Springcaller technology here? Or just kill the card?

The point was to use the mana to pay for other Enlighten triggers, but does the timing even work for that? Also, those will remain good with spells and abilities that let you draw. We could delay when you get the mans, but I like the idea of the card.

Hmm. The timing would work for other Enlighten triggers, but I'd prefer it if this wasn't just "half a Gaea's Skyfolk unless you have other things that interact with draws". I understand there will be a few commons in each set that don't do anything unless you have some other cards with the set mechanic, but I view each one as fairly undesirable and I reckon it's worth trying to keep their numbers down.

How about giving this "{t}: Add {1}" and "Enlighten - Untap ~"? That does go infinite with Ocular Halo or Quicksilver Dagger, I suppose.

Yeah, that's unfortunate. New players wouldn't know that they don't get the mana... that can't stay at common.

Anybody think that "Enlighten - You may Sakura-Tribe Elder is a good idea? Maybe not.

What if it changed basic land types when you drew a card? Fits the set, card drawing normally happens on your turn, and rarely in the early game during your opponent's turn, and secretly mixes with Mono-Blue...

try jmgariepy's idea

I really like this idea as a second common manafixer for the gold deck (Aeran Sunrise being the first). Great suggestion two years ago, jmgariepy!
