It took me a second to get this one, but I do see where it comes from now. I don't think it's as successful as some of the others. Also, Flashback doesn't/ can't go on permanent spells. It makes casting them pointless. That's why Back from the Brink is worded as-is.

The "from your hand" is redundant. Where else can you discard from?
dude: Many older Magic cards used to say "Discard a card from your hand". It's only relatively recently (the past 6 years or so) that the templating has changed to simply say "Discard a card".
Yeah, but I've only seriously gotten into Magic since Innistrad, so I should know this, ESPECIALLY since I'm a fan of saving words.
