Should he say All OTHER creatures are Indestructible ?
Terra Eternal doesn't make itself Indestructible and this is a STRONG ability for a 3 drop creature
And it makes sense, Black uses dark magic to animate zombies, blue uses Mad Science - should be cool.
I was originally going to have Urthona be a Gothic Horror setting but when I saw the early advertising for Innistrad I guessed (correctly) based on the art & set name that it was going to be in that vein so I came up with something else.
I was going to add "Frankenstein's monster" as a blue zombie, but apparently Innistrad beat me to the punch, and this is official endorsed as part of the colour pie now! :) (http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/twtw/153)
(There have been a couple (?) of blue zombies before, all with "drowned dead" flavour)
I entered with Bond Leeches and Finortis, Peacekeeper.
For Challenge # 005. This was actually Rachael's idea; first she suggested the text box of Terra Eternal, and when I said that exists, she modified it to this fascinating card.
Aggressive/Aggression (This creature attacks each turn if able) :-)
Or, to bring it in line with Defender - Aggressor
You should cheat and make a new keyword for that ability. It certainly gets used enough.
Except Leashed Lightning has Nine words of rules text.
Yeah, interesting combination.
I will have a second design for this challenge, but not tonight.
For Challenge # 005. Wizards have dabbled in this effect with Rock Jockey and Worms of the Earth, but never this simply.
This was vaguely inspired by creatures with 0 toughness that don't come with +1/+1 counters. I designed one myself, then realized Wizards had one, too: Force of Savagery.
Thank you. :)
Utterly fascinating! A lot more interesting than I was expecting any of the cards for this challenge to turn out, simply because of the challenge's restrictions :)
It would be a lot less broken with Elvish Piper or Mist-Veined Mysterieur than Green Sun's Zenith, though.
Yeah. I think it's right to judge non-wizard sets/card by the hypothetical standard they would be in. But (though I don't really know) I guess that standard will often have some way of putting low-casting cost creatures into play. Indeed -- there would need to be some ways, because that's what makes this fun :)
Well, you have to keep in mind that this wouldn't be in the current standard. It would be in a completely different environment.
