Menkauhor cannot die! Menkauhor is never living!
Side A:
When Menkauhor would leave the battlefield, instead transform Menkauhor and attach it to target player.
Side B:
Enchant Player
Creatures attacking enchanted player have Deathtouch.
An interesting take on the Mummy's curse, though I'd probably make Side A say: When Menkauhor dies,....
I like what ttt is doing, but I couldn't help but think there was a missed opportunity somewhere in there. So I tossed together Sea Cave Hermit so I could stop annoying myself over it.
You dare doubt the efficacy of the MUMMY'S CURSE?
I will shamble slowly towards you! Repeatedly! Until I... ah, yeah, that should be a sꜣw; shouldn't it? Never mind. (s/you/enchanted player or planeswalkers they control/)
Homicidal Wereshark, just for fun. Last strike does what you think it does.
Created for Challenge # 036.
Umm... Doesn't "you" refer to the controller of the enchantment?
On a separate side note, I used to have an odd white weenie deck back in the day of Psychatog/Upheaval That used to play both Confessor and Cease-Fire. It was an accident, mostly, but I used to giggle in glee when my opponent would Upheaval with 'Tog mana up, and I'd respond by casting Cease Fire. They could counter it, but why bother? If I didn't have Cease Fire ready, I'd drop a Plains on my turn and cast Confessor... effectively neutralizing one half of the 'Tog's power when my opponent swung with him. This was commonly backed by White Knight. Tog players hated me... my deck sucked, but they kept waltzing into traps.
Yes it should be. Thank you Alex.
Well, the same issue applies to Sway of the Stars, and I've seen quite obnoxious casual decks built around doing that shortly before a Greater Gargadon comes down.
Worldpurge is the most recent version of this that I remember.
Should that be "all creatures you control"?
Well, it wouldn't be a feathered lizard, since dinosaurs are about as close to the lizard family as they are to mammals. For example, dinosaurs were warm blooded, and were therefore adapted to more active lifestyles. But, you know, I'm getting really picky here, for what's supposed to be cutey flavor text.
It fits the theme I set up with 'Adapt', but, admittedly, is more "This is in the same block" than "This is a dinosaur ability." I figure if the set is 50/50 Dinosaurs v. non-Dionsaurs, where some of the Dinosaurs are humanoid spellcasters, then this sits in the 'dinosaur magic' camp. I admit, it's more spin-off material than the actual challenge, though.
For Challenge # 036. Am I the only person who reads its flavor text in the voice of the announcer from the Tootsie Pop ads? ... Nope. Now so do you. :)
Aerchaeopteryx. Am I the only person who reads its flavor text in the voice of the announcer from the Tootsie Pop ads? ... Nope. Now so do you. :)
What dies this have to do with dinosaurs?
Guarded Stegasaurus, Charging Triceratops, Jungle Rush, Keeping the Peace. Adapt is intended to be used as a "That worked once, but my stuff is better now because you did that" mechanic. I like the premise, but you can see I'm not sure what the best way to implement it is.
