See Challenge # 010.
Thank you! Yeah, I wasn't at all sure where to draw the line.
Is it possible that 24 is too low a number for this? I couldn't say. This is much easier than Epic Struggle... but I'm also think that epic struggle was too hard a hill to climb (though it still picked up 3.525 stars on Gatherer. I know Gatherer's star ranking is getting further and further obsolete... but it had respect back in 2014 at least.)
I will say that I've played a number of games with Ghalta, Primal Hunter on Magic Arena. And many of those games I just paid
to cast it... almost accidentally. 12 isn't 24, but it's something to think about.
All that said, I really like this card. It's why I spent a lot of time thinking about it. ;)
See Challenge # 163.
Cf. Hundred-Handed One
Day of the Turtles for 24
Regard the Unthinkable for 15
See Challenge # 163.
How high can mill go? I forgot precedents.
See Challenge # 163.
See Challenge # 163 and ((C99811)).
Hahaha. Cute. Hopefully nobody dies.
:)
(It's also a reference to the novels of Brandon Sanderson.)
Heh. Following the fine precedent of Mouth to Mouth, and presumably silver-bordered like that was (except that all design challenge entries end up gold-bordered).
Draw 6 for

seems a bit good though.
See Challenge # 163.
Buying a Round for 18 (if you allow numerals)
Game of Nines for 9
See Challenge # 163.
Looking for 'nine' I tried a bigger variant of fact or fiction or gifts ungiven. Unfortunately it's still rather clunky, any suggestions for simplifying it?
See Challenge # 163.
Took a while for this flavor to gel... Still not sure it's right.
Rephrased green; changed red from destroy to tokens; changed black from sac to destroy
Thank you. Wait, I screwed that up. It was supposed to be black, destroy creatures, red, create tokens, and I changed it and they ended up duplicated.
I can't remember if I avoided that because the tokens were too strong, or if it didn't fit.
ETA: Edited, although I'd really hoped to keep more of the abilities short enough to fit on one line.
I'm not sure when to spell out numbers. I think magic uses numerals for damage and a couple of other situations, and otherwises spells out numbers (including for "add forty two mana" and "create forty two creature tokens") but I'm not sure.
Ha. Yeah, you need Obstinate Familiar or Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar to avoid dying to this, but it's very cool.
(Except that actually it just breaks with Laboratory Maniac, but bleh, what doesn't.)
"Add 42 mana of any one colour". Or "in any combination of colours".
The red and black are a bit annoyingly similar, but I can't think of many sensible options. Perhaps red makes mana and green makes 42 tokens? No, that might be a bit too close to winning the game.
I took me longer than I should admit to realize that you're making a pun. Nice one, Vitenka.
Yeah; it works.
Although it could also fetch something with mana cost
. Which works in a different way :)
Right now it's a reference to the original Emrakul.
Amusingly means you can't fail to find if the one you're looking for isn't there. Not sure that's ever important, but it's a thing :)
Heh. That's going to be difficult to figure out when you have a random number of cards left in your library.
That said, if this card searched for any number of cards with a converted mana cost of 6, then you could do something if those cards had a combined converted mana cost of 66. Step four: profit.
That's... reasonable? Maybe? I'm not sure. If it isn't, though, you can just keep increasing the number of permanents and converted cost until you get there. ;)
"I Scry 42."
Oh. Um. Okay. If you don't mind, I'm just going to lie down and contemplate the meaning of life, the universe, and everything while you do that.
I don't know about 'Naturalize to save yourself is meh'. I mean, you did just waste two spells, and got milled tons. And the blue wizard is more likely to Cancel a suspended card gone wrong anyway...
But anyway, I likes. It's probably too good against some matchups, but whateves. Reminds me of when I used to play Star Wars CCG and a friend of mine would play the 'Blow up the Death Star' deck. I didn't own a Death Star. But he was prepared for that eventuality and gave me his Death Star to play with so he could blow it up. Good times.
