Corrupt Auctioneer
Added Lurking Cutpurse
See Challenge # 135.
Ah, of course! I couldn't figure out why someone would want to fake a rock rather than just use a real one. I'm not cut out for deception :)
And also, Pawn Broker and Fly-by-Night, which has an actual mechanic on.
See Challenge # 135.
I had a bunch of ideas for names: second-story swooper, back-alley batwing, etc. They nearly made it into flavour text, but I decided it was better to leave along :)
See Challenge # 135.
It's a hollow object meant to look like a rock where one stores their valuables. Here's one on Amazon.
Out of interest, is "False Rock" a reference to something specific? It's the only one that didn't make sense at first glance.
That sounds plausible, I'm not sure.
Thanks :)
Actually the hard part was that I found you have to restrict every tap ability in either how many times you can use it each turn or when you can use it each turn.
Huh. You know, it never occurred to me that Curiosity only cared about dealing damage to opponents. Makes sense. In fact, I'm pretty sure this is an update of a card from Weatherlight, now that I think of it...
Edit: I'm a little off. I was thinking of the Visions card Betrayal.
Sewer Network and Cheap Knockoff

I like the idea behind this, but you're right that there's some problems too. One of the problems is that you probably need a lot of cards that look like this to make the mechanic work:
Kid Lookout

: Untap Kid Lookout
Two-Person Con
1/3
Which seems fine by me. Maybe there could be an aura that grants tap abilities mini-theme. It does raise the question of "Why not just use Soulbond with an extra line about untapping both creatures in the game text" though. You know... besides the fact that the name 'Soulbond' doesn't sound very thief-like.
Hehe.
Also cool ability/name matchup. I wonder if you could cut this card down to
, since Browbeat exists? Or would that cost make it too easy to cast the spell multiple times in a turn? Maybe 6 damage is more appropriate?
I really like this one. Nice simple effect that you can easily visualize.
What an odd card to pair Quicken with. :)
I tried to make a mechanic out of Two-Man Con and created Compliant Accomplice, Hoverbreaker Thug, and Sweettalk Scammer. I will be the first to admit that Two-Person Con has a lot of flaws and limited design space.
