  On the other hand, it can only kill aggressive creatures (which matches the flavor, coincidentally). Lightning Elemental? Dead. Blinding Mage? Safe.

  Mm, Phyrexian Metamorph meets Evil Twin, with a wacky different trigger condition. Have you considered that a typical combat step could give at least three or four triggers at once? They'd then resolve one at a time in quick succession, with this guy going through killing more or less any combatant with power. This guy is pretty much No Mercy Plus Plus.
