Magic Essentials: The Eternal Core Set: Comments

I see what this set is aiming to do. But I really think that you should change the names of your changed versions of real cards. To avoid confusion. You can always mention the real MtG card in the first comment of the card when you create it.

I had considered using the 'Retconned' mechanic, but I feel the cards look better without it. Will definitely note in the comments whether a card had a previous 'real' counterpart.

This set is just for my own pleasure. Like, if I was Richard Garfield or MaRo, with all these experience they've gained over the years, and had to go back and start over, or MtG had maybe been a digital game (where cards could be altered between patches) what would it look like?

Also, trying to emulate the feeling of a timeless core set. My theory is that MtG will eventually do away with expansions (run out of ideas, feel like they're treading the same ground over and over) and settle into having a 'final' core set of maybe 3000 cards that best encapsulate the flavor of the game. Not saying I want MtG to end, but it is inevitable. How they choose to end it is the question...
