Too much abilities on an uncommon in a cycle (also too powerful for an uncommon). What I'm going for is that it "steals" all your creatures on the battlefield, then you get to make your own army, just like the Orange Lantern does.
I could. It's just all the Infinity Gems would be at mythic and too much mythic things just clutter. Also it'll be hard to delegate the 7 colors in a 5 color scheme (as I'm finding out with the lanterns)
I thought American colors would bring out the patriotism in Captain America.
Making him Mono-white seems mechanically make sense, but compromises flavour. Maybe I'll add haste since he's always the first to battle. Blue is indeed harder to justify, mechanically he has inspired, which is a blue/black mechanic. I guess you can also say that he got his powers in an experiment and super serums and pretty blue IMO
Alternatively, if I was going to put the Infinity Gauntlet in a set, I would also end up putting five infinity gems in the set. Heck, I'd probably make them all Mythic, too. Don't know what I'd do with the Gauntlet at that rate. Premium foil only?

But he's the Dark Knight!

I don't see him as WUB. He's way too emotional for it.
This is purely putting Magneto in the villain perspective
noted. I'm going to make him artifact themed. I was trying to design it so that Prof X and Magneto could come face to face and be at a stalemate.
Yeah; but colour identity can take a BIG back seat here, to the obvious "Look at him, that's the actual physical colours he is; shut up"
And the ability, to protect another creature, but only one at a time, seems very flavourful. Though yes, mechanically, pure white.
Fair enough. White does have its fair share of rebels.
I'd say that all the things jmgariepy describes could fit on a monowhite character. Monowhite doesn't have to be authoritarian.
"Fighting to protect the rights of the everyman" sounds like something that could fit in either white or red, to me.
