I believe MaRo is on record saying that Magneto is {w}{u}{b}. It's also strange to me that his card has nothing to do with artifacts.

You actually read all those words?

TOO MANY WORDS! Make them go away, mommy!

The words would be slightly less scary if the author credit was in the artist credit slot rather than the flavour text spot. But even so, Vitenka has a good point - this card has way too many words.

Whatever Magneto is, he's certainly white, and I can see the black, too. I don't know enough about Marvel to say whether he's blue, but I'm sure Maro does.

I think there's a decent argument for Magneto being WUBRG (it would even add to the idea that he's such a polarizing figure, since everyone can appreciate his arguments, sometimes.) He's

  • White, because he believes in order, community and governance.
  • Blue, because he's a strategist, who's lock in a long game with his eternal rival, Professor X, another thinker.
  • Black, because his goals are ultimately selfish, and serve to elevate a minority group at the expense of others.
  • Red, because he's prone to flights of passion, and his beliefs are centered around the desire to right serious injustices
  • And Green, because his arguments often center around might as a means of authority. He believes that mutantkind is more powerful than humankind, and mutants should naturally rule their inferiors.

That's all good theory, and would make a decent idea. But to get back to this card in specific... yeah, that's too many words. And none of them scream "I am Magneto!" I suggest focusing on one thing... and I'm not digging the "for each Mutant" thing. Magneto's never been a leader in the same way Prof. X has... as long as Magneto's goals are not met, he generally uses people instead of builds. And geez... I can't imagine Magneto being any less than a 5/5...

  • noted. I'm going to make him artifact themed. I was trying to design it so that Prof X and Magneto could come face to face and be at a stalemate.

This is purely putting Magneto in the villain perspective

I don't see him as WUB. He's way too emotional for it.
