Given the cards in my other sets, it's possible to get 8 artifact creatures on the field on turn 4, playing this on turn 5 basically means your creatures have annihilator 8 on that turn.
Think of it this way, this says:
Cost:8WRB-X
When you attack, defending player sacs X permanents
Give it too much toughness and this will be impossible to deal. Plus, Shabtis are all 0/1's, since they're intended to be clay puppets that are easy to break and are made to enhance other people (like a bard)
Heh. An 11-mana 0/1 is funny, but given Broodstar this could probably have some P/T itself. Either something like 6/6, or perhaps */* like Broodstar or Master of Etherium?
Hmm. Lifelink makes this really interesting. Turn 1 drop this, which is basically immune to any red or green removal and most black removal. Turn 2 pay down to 4 life, but then attack and go back up to 12. Same deal on turn 3. Turn 4 you attack for the win, but still down at 4 life.
I... think this is probably a bit too good. 8/8 is a bit too good at ending games too quickly. If this was 6/6 (and had you pay 6 life) I'd be somewhat happier, though I think I'd also recommend removing intimidate (which doesn't do much on a 3-colour card anyway).

It used to not be a creature either, but too much words.
there will be a few more "target" or "up to x target" spells to deal with the Djinn Tribal.
Its drawback is that whenever it's targetted by a spell, enemy or allied. it gets bounced, as long as you have 9 or less devotion to RUG.
So it can't be enchanted on, and any kill spell makes them have to cast it again, and again.

I assume this isn't actually going to be a 6/4 flying indestructible for 4 mana with no real drawback?
Oddly, this card is probably best for a mono-blue deck. Since you could back this up with counterspells, starting the turn you cast it.

But there is a total that says "target player skips his/her upkeep"
this is pretty risque and pushed. I don't know how well this will be.
