Bwahaha. I love it. One for Johnny.
Wow. It'd have to be a really really bad card to choose not to draw it for no benefit...
It's the more complicated version of Telling Time :P
5/5 is probably plausible, given Gisela, Blade of Goldnight.
That's one heck of a bomb common.
I was thinking of more recent cards like Wrack with Madness.
I didn't realize that was how threshold ETB abilities were errata'd. You should use the official wording.
Boundless Realms, Collective Voyage, and New Frontiers indicate it should be rare and tapped.
Oh yeah, madness. Derp.
Okay, I'll add a to its activated ability cost. Thanks.
Worth ntoing that there's been quite a few that can do it under some condition. Usually flyingness of the target, but there's also some that care about power or toughness. Flood, Matsu-Tribe Sniper But yeah, add a to the tap cost to not be quite so remarkable. (And still be darn good)
Strong. There hasn't been a tapper that doesn't cost mana at cheaper than 4 mana before (Sand Squid, Ballynock Trapper) except for Minister of Impediments. I'd play it.
Wow, I was totally convinced that this was a unique card until that showed up. I managed to either overlook it or miss it entirely in my card search query.
I can see it being simple to exploit, especially in the case of dredge, but the beauty of the card is in its wording and how basic yet unique it truly is. Adding an activated ability to it may damage the elegance of the card.
Heh, it's Ivory Guardians :)
I worry that this is too easy to break. What if it tied the 2 abilities together, e.g. ": Discard a card and sacrifice a permanent."
I would choose the latter, so that only the denizens of the forest would have knowledge about this creature.
Mythics don't need to be color-balanced, but rares should be.
Considering the steep cost, entering tapped would relegate this to uncommon status.
6, actually :)
Why not just give it intimidate? Or is it not "scary," it just leaves deep in the woods.
Nice name. :) If you have threshold, you can pay 12 to make it a 13/13, right? That's cool.
Fixed, thanks.
Should they enter tapped?
If it just untapped creatures that attacked, it would be reasonable, but it also doubles your mana and lets you get bonus upkeep triggers I think it's too cheap. It's an interesting way of giving vigilance, though.
I can understand the ritual part, but LD has been printed several times beforehand.
You have 2 of these in the set.
I guess green gets land destruction in the form of Bramblecrush and the like, but a green spell devoted to LD seems weird. Rituals aren't really green either. Overall, this spell just seems off.
