Oh, ok.
For what it's worth.
I don't know what FWIW is :(
Seems kind of boring to do it that way, but I will think about it.
Thanks.
I felt that it was safe at uncommon, since even at 8 mana you're only getting +2/+2 which seems reasonable on a 2/4 with no other abilities. And +3/+3 at ten mana seems pretty fair as well.
Thats not what it does :D
Lifespring Blast, flavor wise, is a steady stream of energy, it erodes artifacts and enchantments, destroying them, however indestructible ones can't be damaged, so eventually as the spring flows over those, they accumulate energy and eventually self-evaporate and are drawn into the void.
Thanks! I was trying to create a balanced rare of Squadron Hawk in green.
Nope, Screeching Spider can hit any target, its sound waves ;D
This one feels more mythic to me, because it fetches any land to the battlefield as well as any creature, then also shuffles itself back in. I didn't want a Draft to contain a bunch of these at uncommon, nor did I feel like it deserved to be rare, Prime Time is a 6-mana mythic that fetches any land. Whisper is a 4-mana that fetches a land and a creature, and then can be reused should you be lucky enough to draw it. In a draft, 4-mana is the point were you need to get to 5 or 6 mana quickly. And this fits that bill nicely as a mythic so that its not a very common card to draft because it really is overwhelming in that aspect.
spelling fixed, thanks.
Thanks
2-cost mana rock is still a 2-cost mana rock. Remember, it is Homelands so some things might be a bit worse.
But so did Vulshok Morningstar.
Seems a very complicated and fiddly way of saying "It keeps coming back with a -1/-1 counter". If it can keep the -1/-1 counters in all zones, why bother with the "exile it instead"?
Just say "When ~ dies, return it to the battlefield at end of turn with an additional -1/-1 counter on it."
Nice tweak on Farhaven Elf. I like it.
So it's... a vanilla 2/4 for 4 mana; or a 2/4 with Gaia's Anthem for 6 mana; or a double Anthem for 8 mana, etc.
Somewhat reminiscent of Marshal's Anthem or Kabira Vindicator. The potential for this being very strong late-game makes me think it should be rare, even though it's not very exciting at less than 6 mana.
Why not just "exile target artifact or enchantment"?
I like it!
Should this say "to target creature with flying"?
This kind of card is a very odd choice for mythic. Tutors can be uncommon or rare, but pretty much never mythic. They just don't have the splashiness that Wizards want from a mythic.
People can't pronounce vulshok?
My guess would be because the scimitar ended up in a core set; so more people know about it.
FWIW, Wizards have (curiously) avoided printing anything strictly worse than Leonin Scimitar. They prefer to give the card some additional minor bonus (often one that won't normally make a difference), such as on Bladed Bracers or Flayer Husk or Runed Stalactite. (This is somewhat odd given they're happy to print things worse than Vulshok Morningstar or Vulshok Battlegear.)
Spelling is Cuirass, I believe.
Gosh. A Merfolk Looter on an artifact. I can't believe I've not seen this before. There are endless variations on Jayemdae Tome, including some that loot a bit like Emmessi Tome, but as a free effect on an artifact it's never happened. The closest we've seen is Jalum Tome (or one of the modes of Obelisk of Alara).
Excellent idea.
