I like the linebreak. For some reason this felt rare when I designed it, even though the red and blue parts of the cycle were based on common cards and only at the uncommon rarity. I will consider making this uncommon.

That would be "Cast this spell only..." these days, see oracle wording of Even the Odds for example.

Interesting concept dunno about rarity being rare, I think uncommon would do. Also I hate that additional linebreak in the rules text between the two sentences.

I went with a generic name, because I couldn't convey the idea of someone who had too much knowledge so others, seeking to learn that knowledge, killed them to gain access to what they knew in only a couple words.

No, I was going for the dissection route. Card draw is often flavored as something intellectual. Is not dissecting a specimen to learn more about said specimen act of learning?
