1.Yes, I made controllers plural with the most recent edit.
2. I have no idea if there is a mechanical difference between preventing and reducing I attempted to go the go for prevent based off of what you commented here.
3. I may have made the edit redirect? I'm not against redirecting, but I don't know what wording would like here.
4. In the new wording I did include to "each" to be more clear.
New wording, still going for same intended effect. The old wording was "Until end of turn, reduce all damage that would be dealt to creatures and Planeswalkers by half. That much damage is dealt to that those permanents' controller."
Do some signpost uncommons intentionally push people away from drafting specific color combinations? I've felt that way on occasion when seeing those cards while drafting.
Rather than push a playstyle here, I wanted to punish, or at least have a reaction available, to another playstyle that might appear in draft: ramping via Calcify.
I knew I wanted this card to be cheaply costed, at just its colors specifically. I was originally going to make it a 2/2, but decided a 3/1 might be more fun.
What's the combo?
"(Do not round.)"
Shouldn't it be "those permanents' controllers"? Is reducing damage different from preventing? Are you not redirecting the damage on purpose? It seems like this wording wants to be one that sets up an effect "for each" creature and planeswalker.
This is weird. I'm so used to draft signpost uncommons that an artifact hoser that can be used both aggressively and defensively is quite unexpected.
Looking forward to the broken combo. :)
