That comparison isn't really apt. Great against dragons for sure, but otherwise it's just a plain 2/1.
If the supposed is question is about reach, IMO you can use it in any color really as long as you apply some sense to it. As a defensive combat mechanic it's reasonable in
.
would be the most questionable colors. Truth to be told, to me
seems like the last color to put the ability in, but it's something WotC has been experimenting with.
IMO 2/1 for
is a great card by itself so I don't really get why WotC has been feeling to urge outdo that all the time with cards like Mardu Woe-Reaper, Dryad Militant, and such. The rare variations especially (Soldier of the Pantheon) are pretty crazy.
With that in mind, this certainly seems to follow that trend, even if I don't personally care for it.
Dragon Hunter exists, so I'm going to assume that this is okay.
It can probably be

, but I've already got a Rare sitting at that slot and I'd rather be on the safer side than not with this ability. This is closest to Silverblade Paladin out of all of the double-striking white 3-mana creatures.
I'm sure this breaks something, but it's also 5 mana which is the "safe" rate for reanimate spells so maybe its okay? Similar to Sins of the Past, colorshifted into Red because Red fits better now (Past in Flames, Mizzix's Mastery). Not sure if the wording on this is worded so that the cast spell is counted towards Sequence - if it is, then the wording will be updated so that you don't always get the Sequence effect.
Bigger and more exciting Topan Ascetic/Llanowar Behemoth/Impelled Giant. Hopefully the two-activation limit prevents this from getting too crazy. Want to add Trample too, but it might be a little too insane in limited.
Changing this into a Sorcery with a different effect. Swapping slots with the Talisman.
Strictly better Updraft Elemental.
Swapping the P/T of this and CG09 to better differentiate CG09 and CW04
Uncommon build-around-me, exclusively for Spirits. I'm thinking about reducing the number of multicolor uncommons because I've never been a fan of that practice. I'd rather them be exclusively for off-the-wall builds that might require specific support, or splashable cards for those who picked up a decent amount of fixing.
This can be done in mono-Green, but since the Spirit archetype is
+
I figure I'd make it obvious.
