Immortalize and recollect seem to form this A & B kind of mechanic structure which is parasitic in that each on its own is pretty useless.

I don't know how you feel about loaning mechanics created by others, but IMO "fable" seems to accomplish a lot of what you are trying to evoke here.

I like the keyword; but.. it doesn't make a card unkillable. Which feels lieke a flavour miss.
