Oh noes noes, it needs to read into its "owner's" library, what if i take control of your creature and attack you with it? does your card go to my library?
Otherwise nice card, every set needs to have this kind of removal spell in white.
White can add counters to my permanents, i think you can add, put a charge counter on a permanent you control, then gain life equal to the number of charge counters among permanents you control.
Is just 1 life point swing, makes it feel more flavor for this set's white mechanichs and helps it interact better with the rest of the set.
hmmm if you want players to be able to feel like theyre using charge counters for a benefit, having them pay for it or getting a creature sacrifice wouldnt make them feel like theyre getting a benefit, maybe something like;
Conductor Drake, when this ETB you may move (up to N?) charge counters from permanents you control onto Conductor Drake. Conductor Drake gets +1/+1 for each charge counter on it.
That is just an idea, but if you want people to feel like theyre spending charge counters for an advantage, you need to give a bonus to something, an extra, like if i dont pay my charge counters i get a drake, but not so good feel. Otherwise they would think, if i dont pay my charge counters i wont get anything. It gives players room for choice and a much better feeling of reward.
Probably time to ponder something different. ETB remove counters for benefit, perhaps?
Something perverse in me is suggesting "When ETB, move up to 2 charge counters to this. This gets +1/+1 for each charge counter on it", but I think that'd be just a bit silly.
That is a valid point. This was supposed to just represent Blue's "remove your own counters for a benefit". I think it's sufficiently not-Chargecast to be OK, but I'm not sure.
I like the flavour for no particular reason. "Remove two" looks similar to chargecast with cost 5U, but slightly more appealing to the eye and slightly worse to play. I'm not sure if that matters or not (maybe all chargecast should have an N, although probably not).

It does feel remarkably like chargecast to me, actually.

I'd feel smugger if it wasn't a reprint from Ravnica :)
Squelch also points out you need more reminder text: "(Mana abilities can't be targeted.)"
Nice combination
