changed to +0/+4 for flavor and 1/3 for flavor. as well as ability.
Do you want X to be the number of creature cards in all graveyards, or the total power (or toughness) of creature cards in all graveyards?
If the charge counters give it -1/-1, they should just be -1/-1 counters. The benefit of having them be different really isn't worth the extra complexity.
So Putrid Imp + this = turn 1 6/6 indestructible lifelink flyer? Or Tireless Tribe, Aquamoeba, or Wild Mongrel? No, you can't do that. You could use the terminology from Wilt-Leaf Liege:
> If a spell or ability an opponent controls causes you to discard ~, put it onto the battlefield with five destiny counters on it instead of putting it into your graveyard.
Even that would be crazily swingy compared to Metrognome, Guerilla Tactics, Dodecapod and Wilt-Leaf Liege, though. Let it arrive with two or three destiny counters and that might be fairer.
Hee. I think "protection from Demons and Dragons" is somewhat unnecessary when you have prot black and red. But otherwise, delightful idea. The set would need rules support for attacking creatures as though they were players, so you might want another couple of rares with that mechanic (it's complex enough that it shouldn't appear at lower than rare). But this is a very flavourful and fun approach to it.
Made it more black because of it's power.
Interesting. Pack Hunt plus Tooth and Nail. Unfortunately the wording doesn't quite work: if you do the second bit then you'll shuffle away the creatures you just put on top in the first bit! Also, I'm not really keen on letting the opponent pay to make your cards not very good, particularly if you've already paid 8 mana. Combine that with the way that the first ability would be nicer if it could choose the creature from the second ability, and I think you might end up concluding you want to reverse the order of the abilities. My proposed wording would be:
Search your library for a creature card and put it onto the battlefield tapped. Then choose a creature you control and search your library for up to three cards with the same name as that creature, reveal those cards, shuffle your library and put them on top of it.
(The "same name as" wording is necessary because "copy" means something different in Magic. Compare with the Oracle wording of Pack Hunt.)
