How about: Artifact {4} ETBs tapped. Sacrifice a permanent: Put a charge counter on. ­{1}{t}: Each player sacrifices a creature an artifact and a land for each charge counter. So it's almost certainly 'everything dies' but a token swarm might outrace it?

Or maybe we can just reprint nevs disk nowadays.

Proposal: All of the Things are On Fire. ­{t}: Target permanent gains this ability and its owner must sacrifice it at end of turn.

Fun design, and fits the flavour. Sounds like a rare sorcery though.

Yeah. I'd MUCH rather whatever this is that it is an artifact that hangs around until you need it. For flavour, and to not be horribly swingy and unfair (hello wrath)

add 'they' because otherwise it's ambiguous whether you lost life for every land any player sac'd, which is NOT the intention.
