Cool! There should definitely be more Bird lords, and this is a good take on the idea. This could go as an entry to Multiverse Design Challenge #8 :)

(Perhaps not, as there are technically three Bird lords: Soraya the Falconer, Kangee, Aerie Keeper, and Aven Brigadier... and it turns out there's also Soulcatchers' Aerie which I'd forgotten. But still.)

Technically I think I could still enter it, as two of those lords are Legendary, one is an Enchantment, and the other isn't specific to just birds.

Technically Crookclaw Elder is a Bird (and Wizard) Lord as well. Tap two birds to draw a card? that's Lord ability if I ever saw one.
BUT, what Birds need is a {g}{w}{u} Legendary Bird to act as a commander as, at the moment the only milticolor commander is Kangee and in colored you have 4 white Legends that can be a Bird deck commander but none in Blue. Considering there have been so many birds printed this is a travesty.
I say a {g}{w}{u} Bird Legend becasue there are 11 bird and/or bird related cards that use {g} (and that doesn't count the Red & Black Birds) some of which are quite useful in a bird-themed commander deck.

Why would a Legendary bird be Green ? I think Black would actually be the third choice if one had to be a wedge.

FWIW, black has 11, red has 7 and green has 5. In fact, green has four birds who can't fly, but also the best bird ever printed (Birds of Paradise :)).

Yes but green also has stuff like Fable of Wolf and Owl; Flurry of Wings & Skinshifter (The last one is admittedly a bit of a stretch but it can be a bird). Plus birds like Aerie Mystics, Messenger Falcons and Waveskimmer Aven have green either in their casting cost or the activation cost of their abilities.
Plus, people wouldn't be expecting green in a bird deck :-) AND Whippoorwill is just so much unexpected fun in multiplayer and how else are you going to get a 5/4 bird for 4 cmc Darba (even with its {g}{g} upkeep cost)

Aw, did they retype whippowhill to be a bird?
