Not sure if the wording is right on the second part.

Flavor is that the wolverine injures creatures.

Why use passive voice over "Whenever + deals damage to a creature, ..."?

It seems like the second ability is strongly dependent on the first - so much that having the second ability be separate is questionable.

These abilities would fit better on non-square stats favoring toughness, I believe. You want a good chance for either creature to survive.

Updated wording on second ability according to SecretInfiltrator's suggestion.

The second ability is primarily dependent on the first, but it's separate so that it can work with cards like Quicksilver Dagger. What do you think would be a good p/t? 1/4 maybe? I'd open to changing the creature's cmc to have a different p/t.
