Messy. Very messy. Opponent cannot risk getting you to less life than you have creatures in play (plus, say, 2 due to flash creatures)
But, equally, you don't want to get down to near that range; because an opponent can finish you off even if they cannot get through.
I think this needs to be a legend; just for the headaches it'll cause if you get a couple of it into play.
i hate this card, im compeltely changing it xD
This is a funny card. Should probably be a rare, for the impact that it has.
the missing comma between the mana and tap symbol is screwing with me.
I think this is still a rare. It doesn't help that the body is reasonable for the cost even without the activated ability.
My goal for this card is as follows: Keep it in the cycle (3 for 3/3 with mmt: [in-color ablity])
maybe destroy is too strong... Maybe discard?
So Cat Burglar except cheaper to cast & activate, greater p/t and affects two cards rather than one at instant speed.
This is a soft lock in addition to debilitating card advantage on -still- a fine body. If you want discard, then I suggest a single card at sorcery speed.
Maybe an up-scaled Acolyte of Xathrid? If you make it 3 life it's not much different from attacking unblocked.
The whole cycle parameters are weird - 3/3s for three mana usually don't go there.
hm. what kind of cmc and body would give me a cheap pay and tap for an iconic incolor effect? a bit too advanced for me to figure out, i don't know much about that part of design either
"If you make it 3 life it's not much different from attacking unblocked."
is that good or bad design?
I'd say good, because some people would like that. Some won't. Kind of funny, since the complainers on both sides would probably both be Melvins with different sensibilities.
Not sure about power level though... not that I'm saying it's broken. I'm just not sure. SecretInfiltrator is actually underplaying it, since there's a secret bonus keyword that isn't as obviously on this card. It's actually closer to:
Dark Merchant

: Dark Merchant can't be blocked.
Creature - Human Artificer
Vigilance
3/3
I mean, a good player will only ever tap this at the end of turn. The rare time that player does not, it's because they won the game.
Yes i figured out that the card you showed there is kind of what this is like, but not entirely the same (mostly when you could and would play it)
I think i will keep it how it is to match the cycle, also because it's a bit more versatile imho.
Thanks JM!
She sells Sea Shells, from the Sea Shore.
They're cursed! Burn the witch!
