This is actually more like lightning elemental, but. I kept the '4 damage' part, and the 'only in combat with creatures' parts, adding in a more redlike way of checking it's where it is supposed to be.

A mashup of Lightning Blast and Gift of the Woods. Eevilly good to flash in on an opponent's unblocked 10/10. Perhaps should say "to an opponent"?

Oooh, hadn't realised that as printed. Lemme think. Yeah, I like giving red a "That creature? It explodes." but I don't think it should cost that low on a card that does other goodstuff too. I'm tempted to write 'sacrifice it' which would have the desired effect, but no need to be sneaky. Your fix is best.
