Wound is a really cool mechanic that seems like its easier to develop than wither yet still fulfills many of its thematic duties.
Yes, it unfortunately can read as a little underwhelming ("why is it just weaker wither"), but it has been playtesting quite well.
Actually the reminder text is very confusing. What does the first point of damage to each creature mean? How do you keep track of it across multiple wounders?
Emphasis on: "its first point of damage to each creature".
So across multiple wounders each of them deals its own first point of damage per creature if you e. g. assign combat damage to multiple blockers or from multiple blockers.
For completeness this would need "each turn"? Hmmm.
I think double strike would still be confusing/unintuitive. There should probably be some write-up for the intended functionality to determine the best reminder text. Depending on the intent maybe one or two well-chosen words can help heaps.
Maybe just making them 1 power smaller, and saying its puts a single -1/-1 counter on? Does have the downside of being less punishing if unblocked; but seems a lot simpler to comprehend.
@vitenka: then you get a huge amount of board complexity, where my 2/2 wound creature can kill a X/3. Also it removes a lot of the aggression, stall breaking this mechanic is achieving.
@SecretInfiltrator actually supposed to be the first damage of each instance of damage.

Uh - I was saying make it 1/4 instead of 2/4. But the fixed reminder text here does resolve it nicely.
