For the big spells archetype. Not sure if we're still doing this archetype but figured I might as well make something so we can get a feel for it.
Five is a high boundary to set. I would prefer this as a 3=4/3 that loots on a 4 cost spell.
So we want the big spells to be 4 cmc or more? And I think I'd prefer it to be a 3/3 at 3 mana, since then it doesn't kill most of the other uncommon creature we have at 3 mana.
By 'big spells theme' I didn't just mean 'having cards that cared about a specific size of spell'. There are other ways, including more subtle ones, we can use to encourage playing larger spells. But yes, 4 is a good threshold for those that do.
I don't think we need to be concerned about things as developmentally specific as meta balancing of power and toughness. We haven't even got a full cardfile yet.
Just noticing that it has better stats than most of the uncommons we've made for the limited archetypes + its effect seems pretty good. Gonna change it anyway because it does feel better on most levels.
Reduced cmc on spell and added looting. reduced cost +2 power.
Why does it cost three right now? That's really strong. I meant 4 mana 4/3 if that wasn't clear, and that's what I think this should be. Alternatively, we could make it a 3 mana 3/2 or something.
4 Mana would also mirror its own ability. 3 Mana 3/2 would be good too, but looks a bit too on the curve to me.
Mb, thats why I though it was weird
