Correcting wording- sacrifice ability should have capitalization at the beginning of the effect, 'when ~ transforms' -> 'when this permanent transforms into ~'
Instant speed on board combat tricks and referencing converted mana cost BOTH on a common is probably too much complexity wise. I'd change the grave return to be based on power. It's shorter as well, also good for common.

If we are going with that, then yes, this should probably be one of the cards with that theme.
While we're on the subject, to be clear, the idea with the small toughness archetype is it would only involve four or five cards that actually care about it, but that these would be key cards for
