Not too happy with this one -- it simultaneously feels too complicated and like it's not doing enough.
I think that brings Regent up to the character with most cards designed for him, except of course for Taylor :) There's been Regent and Regent, Master Controller, Regent, Regent and now this.
I have to say I don't see what the last line is meant to be doing. It also doesn't actually work in the rules - nobody gets priority to do anything during the untap step.
The idea was that you would need to tap Regent to use the creature you grabbed for anything useful. Hopefully this new version works better.
What do you see about Regent's character that is white? Genuinely curious.
Honestly? Not sure. I made this design a long time ago, found it on my computer, and posted it without thinking about it to much since it seemed like a decent design.
If we are being honest, I see Regent as being more Rakdos-colored than being blue like others tend to have him. But it's hard to fit his abilities into those colors (Gain control of target attacking or blocking creature until end of combat" maybe?).
