Oh, that's a good approach. Nice way to capture the building up of familiarity he needs. The previous approach was to have two different cards for the different "levels" of his ability: Regent and Regent, Master Controller.

I got a bit carried away adding black effects. Regent's character is very black to me, but in Magic, his powers are blue.
