2/2 lifelink with a bonus seems a bit good for a black bear.

I wouldn't make it at common, but I think Battle Brawler and Blood-Chin Rager have shown you can get some pretty good stuff at that price point. About the sole reason this isn't BB like Vampire Hexmage is that BB is a bit iffy a cost in a multicolor set and I'm not fond of black first strike either.

Compare also Vampire Nighthawk, Seeker of the Way and Knight of Meadowgrain. This card isn't THAT pushed in comparison.

White obviously gets extremely strong bears, as does green. Black bears is a much more recent area to be explored... but I imagine they probably will get to this level fairly soon if they haven't already. So yeah, fine.
