Hmm. So... it lets you save up extra mana each time you cast an off-curve creature spell, and draw all that mana back at the end. Seems... okay... not very exciting. A little bit like Mana Bloom, but that was only printed to tie in to Journey to Nyx's Constellation cards. It is just one mana, so I guess it doesn't need to be very good, but... How about making the last ability Mana Bloom's ability rather than sacrifice for X green?
Well, it's on a par with the old "Pay a mana to gain a life when you cast a spell" cycle. Which weren't great, but not everything has to be.
On the flip side of that argument - all of the rare things? They probably should be more exciting. So yeah, I'd make this 'pull off as any colour and don't have to pull all at once' or drop the rarity.
