Mono-coloured for exactly that reason, you hafta work for it. No is not intended to use duals or Prismatic Omen for same reason which is why it is worded the way it is - basic land of each type rather than land of each basic land type.

I... wonder if "a basic land of each type" works. It's obvious what you mean, but "a basic land of each basic land type" would satisfy rules lawyers who'd otherwise insist you get a Basic Locus, and Basic Urza's etc.
