I expect something called Corpse Imposter to copy creatures in graveyards, not just animate itself.

Reminds me of Guardian Idol. Giving up the ability to tap for mana in exchange for becoming rather larger. Alternatively, Gargoyle Sentinel that can't block and doesn't fly, in exchange for being {1} cheaper and common.

All of which suggests this is in the right spot regarding power level and costs. Nice one.
