This is the big problem. There are very few things in Code Geass affiliated with the colour green!

I think without too much of a stretch I can call the traditional Japanese green: Prime Minister Kururugi, Tohdoh, and possibly even the Japan Liberation Front such as Kusakabe.

But apart from that, what is there? That cat. Some fights among invaders and Elevens, though those might be more naturally red. Certain territory grabs by Britannian forces, perhaps? (Though those are more Conquer or Annex than Rampant Growth...)

I've got a bit of a problem with this one!

From the colour pie article on green:

  • "Green, in its heart, wants nothing more than to sit back and watch life unfurl around it. Thus, green's ultimate goal is growth."
  • "Green stresses the importance of the system over that of the individual."
  • "Green represents: ...Reality (as contrasted to illusion); Community; Interdependence"
  • "Green understands the importance of the cycle of life. As such it respects the role of death."

From the article where Maro interviewed Green:

  • We are but a tiny piece of a gigantic puzzle. We need to spend less time dwelling on our individual piece and more time on the puzzle itself.
  • All the other colors try so hard to make a place for themselves in the world. We don't need to make a place. We have a place. Rather than expend so much energy to become something we are not, we have to learn to accept who we are.
  • it takes great restraint to just sit back and observe. The other colors simply don't have the patience.
  • I tell people to embrace life. To live it fully. To look within and learn. I want people to figure out their potential and then live it.

And distinguishing green from white (always tricky):

  • Green says "White's a little too obsessed with structure. White loves its rules. While I do believe that there are times and places for structure, white takes it too far. White cannot comprehend the idea that things can happen haphazardly for a reason. Also, White seems a little to stuck on the idea that everything makes sense. White has a hard time understanding things that happen on a whim, and nature is full of things like that."
  • White says "There exists right and wrong. I'm talking about crystal clear absolutes. Certain things you should do and certain things you shouldn't do."

Looking on Blogatog for relevant comments:

Perhaps I can spin some of the general Britannian citizenry as green. The ones who just love community and want to enjoy the blessings of their society. There aren't very many of those on-screen in the series, but I should note down those that we do see (if any).

Other concepts from the series that could fit in green:

  • The Geass Institute has some green elements - spirituality, contemplating the whole of humanity, that kind of thing
  • Nostalgia from the past (as induced by Refrain)
  • Tactical retreat (Fog effects)
  • Savage Surge, Burst of Strength, Sudden Strength, Strength in Numbers all fit the set both in flavour and in effect
  • Code Geass has a lot of structures collapsing :) While in-series most of those are tactical demolition or terrorist acts (or collateral damage), they can be green spells if needed.
  • C.C. herself may be green. Unpredictable whims, a very long-term view of history, a high view of death, an embrace of animalistic urges such as eating. It helps that she's got green hair too.
  • Milly Ashford, the student council president, has rather green aspects too.
  • The Geass to Live may be green rather than white.

Decided that the Japanese Traditionalists Faction can be green, including the Four Holy Swords and Tohdoh.

The discussion over at http://www.reddit.com/r/colorpie/comments/2m29vo/what_does_green_look_like_in_an_urban_setting/ has provided some useful thoughts for this topic too.
